We applied from NZ, my partner is from the UK (so low-risk). Yeah I am not expecting to hear from a case officer until at least like the end of October (just going off other peoples experiences in NZ). :)

We've just passed the 3 month mark and heard nothing at all (applied in NZ as well, and partner from UK too) ... waiting waiting!
|
Hey all, currently on this waiting train too :(
Applied in March, and the only news is the limited info that we've had from calling the embassy in Ottawa. We're heading to aus in less than 2 weeks so looks like it's not gonna be here by then. 6 months and counting so far... |
Hey All,
We lodged our application on March from Bulgaria i.e. the embassy in Serbia and still waiting. I submitted my medical & police checks just after I applied, hoping that will speed up he process...Well, not really:) Been assigned a CO in late April, in July she requested a Free to Marry certificate (for a partner visa?!?) that I was able to provide in August. Nothing eversince...Any light in the tunnel for anyone?:) |
Hi everyone! we applied first week of March through Berlin embassy. so we are getting close to 7 months. We are in the quiet waiting stages, hopefully at the end of this looong and grueling waiting journey. Its been pretty simple so far actually. Got assigned a CO right away, request for more info on second day and we were still uploading all of those documents anyways. we did medicals and backround check right away as well. all of the action happened in March and absolutely nothing else since. so ya pretty straight forward really. My partner is overseas waiting to come home and I am just holding the fort in good old AUS. I usually post in the Berlin thread but today I found this one. I am missing my partner way too much and just want to be together, like everyone else on here. Its getting harder and hard to wait longer...
good luck everyone. :) |
Good luck everyone, hang in there. It's hard to keep waiting and waiting (especially when hearing nothing from a CO!) but it will be worth it to be able to go home and be together :)
|
Just wanted to share some light from the tunnel :) Got 309 granted two days ago from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The processing time was 6 and a half months.
Best of luck for all your applications and quicker processing! |

Hi everyone. Applied for 309 visa for my French husband 3 weeks ago. We were hoping to be in Australia by March to start a masters degree, but judging by the wait times I've seen on this forum, it looks like 5 months might not be realistic...might need to work out a plan B. We're both waiting in France and I have a permanent visa here already (much easier, cheaper and less invasive process than for Australia!).

Hey everybody,
I am from Kenya, my wife is an Aus citizen. We have been in a genuine relationship since 2009 and got married in Aprill 2013 here in Nairobi. We were blessed with a very beautiful lovely baby girl in Feb 2014. We applied my partner visa 309/100 in July 2014 in Nairobi AHC. Submitted the PCC with the application. Not yet medical. No single word since from the AHC Nairobi Kenya. As all of you here in this forum,my fingers are crossed for further communication like allocation of a CO, request for Medical and any other documentation, in case required. Lets us relax in the most frustration period in our lives in this wait and hear world. Best wishes to everybody including myself. Regards, Hassan |
