Visa Granted!!!

Hi everyone,

I have been a very active reader of this forum and found quite a lot of useful information around. So now I decided to contribute and tell a bit of my story...

My wife is Australian and I am Brazilian, we have been together for the last 5.5 years, married for 1 and living together for the last 2 years. We both live and work in London and we decided to apply for the 309/100 visa.

Mode: Online application - AHC London
Agent: No
Date of Lodgment: 06/02/2016
CO assigned: 26/04/2016
Police Certificate: 27/04/2016
Medical Check: 06/05/2016
Visa Granted: 17/05/2016
Intended first entry: early 2017

The email telling us that a CO had been assigned, also stated that the waiting time would be AT LEAST 10-14 months from the start of our application, so we were not expecting to hear anything anytime soon, which was also the reason why we applied early this year. But to our surprise, 3 months and 10 days after lodging and less than a month after having a CO, we have received the visa. Both the 309 and 100 came at the same time. We are over the moon now, with thousands of different plans to ensure a smooth transition from UK to AUS

Wink

Hi all,

I'm joining this waiting room too. So excited and also nervous, just lodge mine online 2 days ago. Just trying to arrange a Biometric collection appointment with the visa centre. I guess that why my visa status is "Information requested" right away (i applied last Friday).

1 question tho, about form 80, i haven't summit this form yet as they don't mention in the checklist. I'm not sure about this so still reading a lot on this forum to find out the answer.

18th Month just started. No response apart from the fact that they are going under departmental checks when called and asked!

Any idea what those are? Or how long it would take for Pakistan these days?
Really worried and stressed.

How do you find out whether the case officer has been assigned or not for an offshore application?

hi CCMS
My husband is in Germany, staying with his parents and me I live in morocco with my parents, but since our marriage he is coming and going every 3 months to Morocco and we rent when he's here, we accumulated about 12 months living together like this, due to his tourist visa when hi's coming to me he can only stay maximum 3 months. In regards to the question about supporting each other, he is sending me money via western union and leaving me cash when he is returning to Germany. My husband is planning on to return to Australia to find work and to start my application from there, do you think, the evidence we have is enough in terms of financial ? The other evidences we have is Skype records, postcards, holiday photos, flight tickets to honeymoon, rent agreements from morocco, our wedding photos and videos, 2 invitations to friends wedding together and stat declarations.
What do you think !
me and my husband got married in may 2014 and we want to apply for offshore partner visa and my worry is that We don't have enough documentation about 2 points one is about the financials which I don't understand very good and the other is about my (sponsor) husband is currently unemployed, he is an AUS Citizen though living outside of Australia for the last 2 years,
my question is about this, would that be an issue for my 309 partner visa application, my husband was sending me money via western union is that sufficient or do they ask other things like employment !? would it be better if my husband returns to Australia alone and he finds work and a home to stay and we apply after ? But that would also mean separation for us, for a longer period, which we really don't want, thanks
Any help will be great!
AFAF

My husband and I had lodged our Partner Visa at AVAC in Kuala Lumpur on 6 April 2016. He is Aussie while I am Malaysian. I have not done my medical and police clearance certificates yet as I am still waiting for the request. However, I did attend a face-to-face interview at the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur a month after our application. The interview lasted an hour. My husband was also interviewed over the telephone. His interview lasted for approximately 10 minutes. If you don't mind my asking, how long after the interview did they say that the final decision would be made within the next fortnight? Thanks in advance. Wishing you and your partner all the best!
