In regards to the question about supporting each other, he is sending me money via western union and leaving me cash when he is returning to Germany. My husband is planning on to return to Australia to find work and to start my application from there, do you think, the evidence we have is enough in terms of financial ? The other evidences we have is Skype records, postcards, holiday photos, flight tickets to honeymoon, rent agreements from morocco, our wedding photos and videos, 2 invitations to friends wedding together and stat declarations.
What do you think !
me and my husband got married in may 2014 and we want to apply for offshore partner visa and my worry is that We don't have enough documentation about 2 points one is about the financials which I don't understand very good and the other is about my (sponsor) husband is currently unemployed, he is an AUS Citizen though living outside of Australia for the last 2 years,
my question is about this, would that be an issue for my 309 partner visa application, my husband was sending me money via western union is that sufficient or do they ask other things like employment !? would it be better if my husband returns to Australia alone and he finds work and a home to stay and we apply after ? But that would also mean separation for us, for a longer period, which we really don't want, thanks
Any help will be great!
1) It is probably better if you start a new thread instead of tagging on to someone else's. Also you should not post multiple posts on the same subject.
2) I cannot advise on individual cases on a public forum. Feel free to contact me directly
3) Partner visa applications from Morocco are pretty tough and the evidence must be watertight. My advise would be to get a registered migration agent to deal with your application.

Hey guys!

Does anyone know the processing times on average once you have had correspondence from your CO! I received an email today requesting some info which I've sent through now.. Wondering now if I'm expected to wait the full 12-14 months London Office is quoting. I lodged my application last month!

There can be no estimation. Some get their partner visa with no correspondence, some get it a few days after, some get it months after. We got a form 80 requested only a couple weeks after applying and that was back in February.

Thought I'd post my status up here with everyone else.

We met July 2013, applied Offshore 309 - Mid December 2015, so been waiting about 4 months.

Feels like a lot longer as my partner went home at the end of July 2015. We dicked around because I was super busy at work, so was she as soon as she got home and we didn't put in enough effort before she left. It's much harder to do the application over Skype and the Internet!

Seems like the massive wait time is mainly for on-shore applications, anyone know of any offshore's form Europe approved recently? It looks like hers will go through Berlin office.

I'm still hoping a quick turn around, we spent ages on the application and did all the medicals, police checks, 888's, photos, essay's, etc - All online. So if anyone has any questions with all that I'm happy to help.

Anyway, waiting sucks! Good luck to everyone waiting.

Hi Hannagin.

We are in a similar boat to you except my partner is Suisse. We will apply for the 309 next week but aren't sure which embassy the application will go through. How is your application going? Do you have any pointers so far?

Dear member, I hve 2 question:

1.How long does it take your partner to get a 309 VISA if you are PR holder and not yet Australian citizen?
2. Is it possible after getting PR to go back to your country and stay there a few months while your wife is arranging 309 VISA? if yes how long can you stay in your country ?

Thank you.

Our 309 visa was granted today! Online application through Moscow embassy, applied 13 Feb 2016.
We were requested to submit a form 80 a couple weeks later, did the medical and police check without request in July and this month requested to send the hard copy police check. It arrived yesterday and we got the grant today!!
No interview - either in person or on phone.

Need Help/Advice

Guys, I need your advice to process partner VISA for my wife. I am 190 PR holder for VIC and currently in Pakistan. I want to move with my wife together.

1. Is there any requirement for 309/100 visa that sponsor must be residing in australia while applying for this visa? I am in Pakistan currently.

2. Where do they say that sponsor should be permanently residing in aus? any reference doc/link?

3. I just filled application for partner visa and they just ask for sponsor contact details. Nothing mandatory. You can provide any address of any country. I don't think its mandatory that sponsor should be in Aus while sponsoring. Please confirm.

1 question tho, about form 80, i haven't summit this form yet as they don't mention in the checklist. I'm not sure about this so still reading a lot on this forum to find out the answer.
Hi there! Could you please tell me what is biometric collection? All applicants should do that?
