Same with the Police checks. There is a minimal risk that they run our after 12 months, but I'm too optimistic to contemplate it might go on that long (please)! From what I can gather on here, a fair few people seem to get lucky around the 5- 6 month mark so fingers crossed.

I've never paid SO much money for anything in my life and received a worse service! Not from the individual case workers/ employee's who seem to be diligent and professional... but in terms of the communications and updates on progress!

I've taken the plunge and booked my medical today for the start of October. I can't see my application taking over 12 months and do feel that on face value it is pretty strong and straightforward.

Will be interesting to see when you all are granted and if you did anything different etc. I'm curious as to their 'quotas' too.

I hope you've identified a correct pattern! 27th April too late to fit into that pattern?!

Is this 6 months for offshore UK applicants?

I did read an article the other day about there being less applications this year due to the fee hence a faster processing time.

It does also say 6 months on the actual website as opposed to the London Embassy.

Visa Granted!

Hi all,

I've followed the various immigration boards to see how things were progressing for others applying for their partner visa (309), so I thought it was only fair to post my details once my application was granted. I applied online (from London).

Here are my dates:

Application submitted: 15 April 2016
Request for more info (i.e. medicals & police check): 15 June 2016
Application granted: 21 September 2016

So overall, it was just over 5 months for my application to be processed. I can't remember when I submitted my medicals and police check, but it would have been within the two week time period.

Good luck to everyone waiting for their outcome!!

All the best,

Julia

Visa Granted

Hi all, just to let you know we had our 309 granted today, so it's very exciting news :) I just logged into my email to see the email from DIBT sitting there.

It is exactly 5 months to the day we applied so we are delighted.

This is our information. We're married 9 years, with one child who is already an Australian citizen (by descent)

Date of Online Lodgement: 20/04/16 (london embassy)
Medicals & PC: Supplied with application
CO: Allocated 15/06/16
Visa Granted: 21/09/16
No agent used. No correspondence other than the one email saying we had a case office alllocated and then the actual visa grant.

Thanks so much to everyone on this forum, it's a fantastic resource, you have all been such an amazing help.

Good luck everyone.

You are a genius Suzanne87! As you predicted, my daughter and I received our Visa grants today... 1 week under 5 months!

I hope you get good news today too :)
