Sorry another question!
When you have been granted the 309/100, the DIBP must have given you the cut off date for you to make the initial entry to Australia. What was it like?? How much time were you given to prepare etc?
I'm sure it's actually the date of expiry for either your med check or police check whichever comes first.

Last person I know to get their grant only had 6 months to enter as their police check expired in the September.

Essentially you can't enter without active police and medical checks

I submitted the required additional info on the 15th this month, still haven't heard, but considering if the end of the year the office would've been a little slower than normal!

Hi all,

I applied from the UK for the 309/100 Visa online back in May 2016. I had a CO assigned in June, but since then haven't heard anything at all.

Looking at other people's timelines from the UK, I'm worried as this seems to be exceptionally slow! I haven't even had a request for the medical check yet, although I can see the referral letter sitting in my online application area.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

I applied from the UK mid September and haven't even had a CO assigned yet. That said I did complete my police check and medical within a few days of applying without a request to do so.

Thanks for the response. So it sounds like I should probably just go ahead and arrange the medical check then. Strange, as I was under the impression that I should wait until asked. I've started another thread on the subject to see if anyone else has had any experience of this.

Good luck with your application! It is all very stressful isn't it!

Well the medical only lasts 12 months so they say to wait as if current processing times are 12-15 months then your medical could expire prior to grant and you'd have to pay for another one.

Usually you'll find people will apply then wait 3/4 months before arranging the medical as that way it should in theory be on date we visa granted.

Once the applicant has completed the application and you have paid, you'll be given your reference numbers etc.

What I found easier for the next bit was to then have the sponsor make an immi account. You then in the same section you chose the visa to apply for select sponsor an applicant or something similar. It asks for the applicant reference and when you put this in it'll link your applications.

This opens up a whole new application that the sponsor has to complete and gives them a list of documents to upload too.

But does it mistake if sponsor printed out 40sp and filled it in then scanned and upload under his section?? This is what we did!

The online application questions are basically the same as the 40 and 47SP
You may just end up doubling up on the questions.
