Visitor visa subclass 600 Help :)

Hi Guys looks like a very colour and bright site,

I'm a UK British Citizen I went to Australia 4 years ago on a 12 month working Visa.

I am going back to Australia on Monday with flexible flights return flight is 3 months from Monday but I can extend longer if I wish I have applied for Visitor visa subclass 600 which allows me 6 months stay in Australia.

I believe I am low risk for the application process so how long would it take to complete? Is the Visa electronically put onto my passport again or email/post? I am kind of stressing due to the short gap I have before I fly.

Secondly, when I arrive in the country I will only have 2,000 however every week for the next 5 weeks I will receive 700 from my previous job I just finished, will this be enough to satisfy customs for my holiday trip?

One last thing, Am I able to work within a hostel for free accommodation on a holiday visa? I am guessing no but just want to clarify this.

Any answers are much appreciated.

You Visitor visa should be granted shortly. Another way of getting a 6 months stay is to get the normal eVisa, then apply for an extension in Australia. These are normally granted.

Your financial situation should be acceptable. Just make sure you carry documentation showing where the GBP700 are coming from.

No you won't be able even work as a volunteer in a Youth Hostel in exchange for your board. Work is defined by DIBP as activities that normally attract remuneration, whether you are getting paid or not.

Regards.

Yes it would be a very good idea for each of you to write a letter of invitation. You may want to consider applying through the family sponsored stream.

thanks Jeremy but doesn't family sponsored visa limit us to sponsor one person at a time, or you mean between the three of us 2 siblings will have to sponsor them?
