Unhappy bridging visa b delay

Hi all,

I'm travelling overseas on Monday 25th of august so 12 days away I applied for the bridging visa b on the 2nd of June, but they lost my form. When I lodged it in again a few weeks later I was informed I would get it a few days later but I didn't. I rang the department and they said it would be 2 weeks prior until I was granted my visa. Obviously now it's less then two weeks, is this normal? I'm so stressed out from it all and so worried I won't be given a visa after paying thousands for flights and all that, anyone else in this situation or has been that could help?

Thank you

You might have been granted it and just not notified yet. I'd ring them again.

I had the same problem where my application was lost and I had to apply a 2nd time....my visa was granted 9 days before my trip and I was told by the person I spoke to at the partner processing centre that they sometimes wait until 48 HOURS before to grant you the visa. I know exactly how you feel...If you read my previous posts from April I was feeling the same stress and anxiety. I'm sure you will be fine and the visa will be granted soon. My credit card was not debited until the day they granted the visa

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies, I'm thinking of lodging in a complaint but I'm worried that they might deny my visa if I do so :/ has anyone heard of people not getting bridging visas in time?
