UK health check

Right so - is it better for Graham to go and have his x-ray BEFORE we get the application in? I'd imagine it would be...

anyone done this in London or anywhere else in the UK? Just had the check, I mean. I've got the details of our nearest GP who does it - in Chelsea, for cripe's sake! Anyone have any idea how much this is going to cost me?!?!

It cost me 160 Euro, not including an X-Ray, but including a Hepatitis B test which most applicants don't need. X-Ray would be another 50. But it probably depends on the doctor and the country.

Has your hubby had his medical now Suzannah? My partner had his done in one of the London based panel doctors last Nov, i think it was th one in Chelsea. It cost his £228. As a side note he had the tail end of a cold when he went there and the doctor gave him a dressing down telling him to start looking after himself better...he's 33, eats very well, drinks little alcohol, has no major family illness histories to be concerned about and at the time was running about 15 miles a week, training for a half marathon...he came home with his nose a little out of joint, espec after having to pay £228 for her to speak to him in such a way. Hope your hubby has managed to get his sorted ok.
