Skilled Immigration subclass 175

I am an Indian Citizens.I studied in Australia and hold a Masters degree from the University of Queensland.
Soon after finishing my studies I returned back to India and took up a job as a Software Engineer in a USA based Multinational Company.

I now plan to migrate to Australia with my family under the Skilled Immigration Category.(Subclass 175)

I have few queries regarding this :

1. Can we file the immigration directly by ourselves or do we require an immigration agent?

2. What is the processing time under Skilled Immigration Category?

3. What is the fee structure?

4. I have already spent a period of 3 years in Australia during my stay as a student. Will this help him in the citizenship process?

Thanks

You can apply for a visa yourself and you will find all the details re cost, eligibility and applying under the relevant sections of the visa via Professionals and other Skilled Migrants - Workers - Visas & Immigration

A processing time indication can be found via
Client Service Charter but times can vary significantly as indicated in notes there.

Your previous time as a student here is unlikely to be a factor in a citizenship application.

Thanks for a prompt reply.
I will go through the entire content and post my doubts if any.

I met an immigration agent for my case and he told me that i would also require the following things in the immigration process

1.Bank account showing a specific amount of money for security

2.Property valuation report.

As per my knowledge when applying for GSM these documents are not important.
I am a little confused...please help

Some of the states with state sponsorship for a skilled 176 visa have an expectation of people immigrating to have a required ammount of money for obviously people do need to plan on how they support themselves for 3-6 months or even longer if they find difficulty getting employment.
There is no specific stipulation for the 175 re finances but there are questions on the application form and it would be verey sensible to have good funds.
The IT market in Australia re employment opportunities is already very competitive and I have seen posts by people expressing difficulty in finding work, so with more and more people training in that area and many people considering immigration with IT skills as well as much IT work being outsourced overseas because of cheaper labour, it is quite possible the future will be even harder re finding work so immigrants need to consider that and even have alternate plans for different work, returning home or even going somewhere else abroad to find employment.
