Casual employment for 189 and 186

Can I claim 3 years working experience for 189 and 186 direct entry
if I worked:
2.5 years full time
And 6 months causal but more than 30hours a week?????

Hi, Regarding the 189 visa, the work experience counts towards points. Normally at least 20 work experience per work is considered full time. As long as you can prove that you were working 30 hours per week with payslips and time sheets then it would be considered full time work.

For the 186 Visa (Employer Nomination Scheme), 3 Years is required as part of the eligibility requirement to apply for this visa. It looks as if the same rules apply. However, for the 186 visa the position you are nominated for must be at least 35 hours per week.

This is a very messy part of the Migration Regulations as the definition of full time work varies depending on the visa you are applying for or the the position you are nominating for.
