How to pay Australian Federal Police

Hi All,

I am from Indonesia and I am currently in process of getting a 175 visa. I recently received a letter instructing me to perform my health and character checks. Since I spent the last few years studying in Australia I have to get a police clearance from the AFP (Australian Federal Police).

The AFP to my knowledge only accepts money orders and checks from Australian banks. I just went to the post office and I discovered that they cannot service international money orders. This leaves me in a predicament because I can't pay the AFP.

Does anyone have any advice on how I should proceed?

Thanks in advance.

Some Australian Banks do have branches in different countries abroad or they could have an association with an Indonesian Bank, so check on that first if you have not and you may be able to get a bank cheque drawn on an Australian Bank.

If you get stumped there, it may be possible for you transfer some money to an Australian Bank so they can send you a cheque in Australian $$$ to send in with the AFP application.
ANZ - Personal - Online Banking is one bank you could check with first.
