Finances when applying for propective marriage visa

Hello,

I am Nick from Melbourne. We (my family and I) moved from Mauritius to here 2 years ago and we have granted a permanent resident visa. During the time that I was in Mauritius, I met my girlfriend and we have been together for two years now, living a long distance relationship (we have seen each other 3 times during those two years). We are now planning to apply for a prospective marriage visa since we don't want to continue with such a relation. I am still living with my parents and I am a full time student at university which is finishing end of June and working partime at Coles. Therefore I wanted to know if when applying for that visa if I need to have a certain income and live in my own house when applying. Do you know if they would look at those details?

Thanking you in advance

Nick

If you have a read of the notes on the 40SP application form, you will see a reference to Assurance of Support and Fact Shet 34 which has a Centre Link link with firther info under A.
They do consider the financial situation of sponsors and applicants.
