Stat decs - how old can they be?

Hi everyone,

I'm an Aussie living in the UK and my partner will be applying for defacto visa through the High Commission in London.

My Aussie family members have written stat decs to support our application, but due to various issues, we've had to delay it a bit.

The stat decs were written over six months ago and I was wondering if anyone knows if this delay between them being written and the date of the application would cause any issues? Will immigration ask for new ones to be written or would they still be accepted?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You'll probably not be the first applicants who have taken several months to get an application ready to submit but commonsense tells me that six months is getting a bit old and more recent statements might be better accepted.

The Stat decs I submitted were about 3 months old and there isn't a problem but 6 months does seem like quiete a long time....
