Mistake in the application

I am applying my 189 through the online application system. I have filled in all details in the system. However, I haven't submitted yet. I downloaded the draft copy of my application by pressing "Print" button, while I was going through all the details I entered, I noticed that I made a mistake in the below question.

Has this applicant previously travelled to Australia or previously applied for a visa?

My application stats that I answered "No" to this question. However, I did not come across this question in the first place while filling in my details in the online system. I can't see this question asked in the online application system.

Has anyone noticed that same thing ? Please let me know, how can I edit this question.

This is really interesting to me because when I reviewed my (prospecitve marriage visa) application AFTER submitting it, I saw that my answer to the same question was NO and I was flabbergasted that I had somehow answered this question wrong and quite honestly didn't remember even answering it! Now, based on your experience -- I'm wondering if it's a glitch in the system!

Since I had already submitted my application, I filed a form 1023 to correct this "error" (as well as a few others I'd made). Since you haven't submitted yet, I would think you'd be able to close out of your ImmiAccount, then go through the application again page by page and make sure you answered all the questions correctly.

Let us know if you DO see the visitation question!

Thanks IndyMama for your reply!

It appears to be a glitch in the system. I have read other forums where people are experiencing the same problem.

The funny thing is that this question only appears if you download your application in a pdf form. However, this question does not appear when you review your application online.

This has happened to me as well. I uploaded the form 1023 afterwards when I hadn't yet realised that it's probably a glitch in the system.

Interesting! That's great to know. If it's a glitch, then they're likely already aware of it and know it's nothing you've done wrong. That's good to know - people can worry about it less now.

Sheesh. So much unnecessary stress for applicants trying to everything correctly, up-front and honest! And what a waste of time for them to have to read a bunch of unnecessary 1023s!! Maybe THIS is why processing times are so long. Oh, bureaucracy how I love thee...NOT

Glad I found this thread. I noticed this about a month ago now and after spending so much time going through our application meticulously before submitting I was pretty shocked to see such a simple mistake. Relieved to find out it's just a glitch in the system, hoping that having to go through all those 1023 notifications won't increase the processing times but I wouldn't count on it...

Hi everyone,

I had the same problem with the question "Have you ever applied for a visa in Australia?" I answered yes and also typed in my last visa grant number. After I had sent the applicationin Sepetmber, I didn't look at it again. Just after New Year's Eve a friend of mine wanted to know what questions were asked. So I opened the copy of what I had filled in. And there I saw it. More than three months later. I didn't expect the system to make such a mistake. So I sent an email to my case officer and explained the situation and I also uploaded the form with the correct details.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with this problem.

I'm so glad I just found this thread as I've just been reviewing the pdf of my application to prepare for my medicals and police check and noticed the same thing. I can't believe I would have made such a glaring error. But have been stessing out about it.

I have just emailed my Case Officer to clarify and was going to submit a 1023 but i'll leave that now until I hear back from them.
