457 visa and later becoming director of the company

Hi,

I am planning to be sponsored by a small company in Australia under a 457 visa. However the Australian director of the company is planning to leave Australia after a year or two and wants me to check to see if I can become the Director.

The immi website says about the 457 visa that "The sponsor must also ensure that they do not engage the primary sponsored personís services other than as a direct employee"

Officially the sponsoring company will continue to employ me as a direct employee, but I will also be the Director of the company. Is this allowed?
