Intention to marry

Hi,

Just wondering how you fill in the intention to marry date on a PMV when you have no idea how long your application for a visa might take? What do you do if the visa application takes longer than expected..ie past the proposed wedding date?

You'll need to pick a date that's reasonably in the future, and if your visa isn't granted in time you change your proposed wedding date.

What Maggie said and I just wanted to add that if it date is past when they are about to grant the visa they may ask you for a letter from the celebrant with a new wedding date.

Thanks for your replies. I was just concerned ...is it really that easy? You just resubmit a new date? Has anyone been through this?

Yes really that easy.

We were asked for new date just before ours was granted because it had passed and all we provided was a letter from the celebrant.

I am not sure if all embassies ask for it if it has passed but it easy enough to get if required.
