Exclamation Partner Visa From Hell (problems)

Hey guys...
I am sitting here and stressing like a crazy person.
first, i lodged my partner visa May 2010 only a month ago we got a CO that asked us for gazillion other things.
to be honest, me and my partner have lived together a year before we applied but we absolutely have no evidence of our life together at the beginning as it was only temporary and my partner pretty much took care of everything and then we moved to France where we lived and worked together. we only have documents starting from those times and if I were the CO I would think it is suspicious.
so, i sent all the information they asked and also included a letter saying that we absolutely have no evidence, as well 1) i had no idea we can have bills on the same name because in my country no such things are available and 2)because he pretty much paid for everything as i was a student

and i am just reading all these threads and i think that the outcome wont be good.
however, i have been in OZ over a year now and we of course lived together and we have sent all those papers as well. Would that maybe help?

Also, we are planning to get married soon ( i also mentioned this in the letter to the CO). we actually think we will get married if the CO says 'no no no'
does anyone know how we go after that? do we apply for a brand new visa or that can be as a part for the existing one? Because if I am not mistaken we don't need the 1 year living together proof...

I am sorry for such a long problem description, I am just beside myself and this just seems unfair that they took 11 months just to get back to me, even though they had no problems to cash in from me in the first 2 seconds..

hope to hear from anyone soon...

Phoebe

I would do a new relationship statement now, get married now and send in all those docs you now have. Do it right now and they will have to consider what you send in.
Once again, do it right now.

Hi there,

I also think that you should send in any new evidence that you have gathered. If you get married, then your visa will be reconsidered as a partner visa instead of just de facto.

I would also lodge a complaint via the DIAC website about the time it took to be allocated a CO. Regardless of where you are from or where you lodged, I think that amount of time is longer than the standards they have set.

I believe that if your application is refused (as they would probably be within their rights to do at this time), you would have to leave the country. As I said before, get married right now and submit the other stuff straight away.
