Another 457 visa question

Hi guys,

Sorry to ask this but have struggled in getting answers to this question else where.

The scenario is as such, me and my partner have decided to go travel oz, me on a working holiday visa, him probably applying for a 12 month tourist visa. I'm a dentist and already have work lined up for a 6 month period, after which we aim to travel around australia together (i will not be supporting him during this time, he has enough money saved up himself anyway and doesn't need to work).

The issue is, that I may get offered sponsorship while out there (likely to be in the form of a 457 visa) either during my work or may look to apply for it when travelling around. If i was offered a 457 out there, would my partner be able to be attached to the visa (i'm speaking in general terms rather than specifics) if the sponsor was ok with it? Are there likely to be any complication that could arise? I mean if i get offered the sponsorship i would love to stay, but i would also want my partner there and not have to be separated from him for any length of time during the visa process

any advice would be gratefully appreciated!
