Smile VISA 176 Pre Grant Letter - Applicant in Australia

Dear Wanderer/Members

I currently live in South Australia and my offshore visa 176 has been pre-granted and the DIAC case officer has requested me to submit the itinerary, which I did (I should leave Australia for the visa to be granted), I am leaving on the 15th of May and returning 28th of May. I am not sure whether I should go to the Australian embassy in my country (New Delhi - India) for the visa stamp or I should send it through courier? Not sure which is less stress, going to the embassy or sending it through courier. Is 2 weeks enough time to sort out the visa stamping? Please advise. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you.

FYI -

South Australian State Sponsorship - 3rd March, 2011.

Lodged VISA 176 on the 20th of March, 2011.

AFP and Overseas Police clearance certficate - 15th April, 2011

VISA Medicals - 18th April, 2011.

Pre Grant Letter - 03/05/2011.

The processing of your visa is really fast and that's really cool. I did apply for the same visa subclass, though offshore. Only after a little over a month of visa lodgment, I received an email from my case officer requesting that police clearance and medical exam be submitted. Hope this is the last stage. Is it true that once medical is requested and it's clear, visa isn't far from being granted? Thanks!

nnaryan,

Once PCC and Meds are request, the grant takes approximately a month or even less at times so fingers crossed once you hit this stage. Just had my docs received by SA SS team, hoping for some magic like it has been for SA, I tend to see like they r much faster.
