Medicals and Validation

We are applying for RSMS 857 visa and have done the first part of our medicals. Can anyone please tell me what the process is for the second part?

Also I have read on several forums that once PR is granted the applicant must leave Australia for a period of time before reentering for the visa to be validated, is that the case for the RSMS 857?

Thanks so much
