Got State Nomination but ACS expired

Hi Friends,

I have a situation here... i got my Victoria State Nomination done but by the time i received my state nomination... and i could apply my case with DIAC my ACS got expired on 12th April 2011... Now my agent is telling me to re-apply for the ACS and wait until my new ACS comes out... Where my state nomination is only valid only for 4 months and i am afraid by the time i will receive my ACS my state nomination will expire....

Is there any way around this?? I believe if i have my state nomination approved and i have an job offer letter from Victoria state registered company cant i simply apply for DIAC?
