Is Australian PR necessary for getting a job

Hello friends,

I have come with my wife who is an IT professional transferred on officially by her company with Work VISA type (Skilled) (subclass 457).

I've been searching a job since last 4 months staying in Brisbane, but am unable to get one, want to know is it the case that if you don't have Aussy PR its almost impossible to get a job?? If yes please let me know.

Thanks & best regards,

Not impossible, but your options are limited if you don't have a PR, unfortunately.

What kind of job are you looking at because that can impact on it. Some professional jobs will only employee PR or citizens.

It is luck of the draw really. Just keep on applying. My husband has a job and he isn't a PR or citizen.

Have you tried places like Myers, DJ's, Kmart etc. They will be looking for their Christmas staff. Also maybe macca's.
