Brisbane Medical

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience with getting their medical done in Brisbane?? The only reason I ask is that I had originally booked to have my medical to be done in Melbourne but I now have to go up to Brisbane (so it made more sense for me to get it done in Brisbane whilst I was there rather than travelling 3 hours to Melbourne) and it confused me a little when the lady I spoke to said they do it in two appointments ... I don't mind, but was just wondering if anyone knew why this was and what I should expect??

Thank you in advance for any help

That would be great, thank you!! It's just this two appointment thing that has thrown me as I have no idea why it is necessary...

so turns out my partner is going to have to delay her inspection for a few weeks because it is "that time of the month"..... so i can't answer your question just yet.

when we were rescheduling i did notice this in the email however..

Quote:
The person attending the appointment is to bring with them: their current valid passport, form 26 completed but not signed, form 160 completed but not signed, eye glasses or contact lenses if worn and any current medical reports. Your photograph will be taken when you arrive for your appointment. The photograph is a DIAC requirement. An appointment will be arranged for a medical examination when the results of your blood test and X-ray are available. Please attend at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
so it looks like the second appointment is to review the results of your blood test?? seems logical to me.

Thank you for getting back to me... That makes sense now, would have been better if the lady explained to me on the phone when I spoke to her, would have saved the confusion but thank youu again

hey mate, just an update for you... the missus did her medical today even tho it's "that time of the month"... they said it was perfectly ok as they could do the urine test next week and process it on the spot. the first visit is just the pathology side of it.. blood tests, xrays, etc etc... the second visit is an interview with a doctor and a review of the results from the first week's tests. hth.
