I lodged my 820 application on 14th Oct in Sydney immigration office.
And my payment method is bank cheque.

Can anyone tell me normally how long it takes to get the bridging.

Thanks a lot Rose.
I got mine this morning....so excited...

btw, can I ask did you lodge your application with health check?

I didnt do this, because I think it may be expired before granted.

but in the mail the immigration sent me, they asked for my health check in 28days.

I have read so many threads, and I didnt see anyone has the same status like me?

most of time, they will be ask for health check it is because the Visa will b granted soon.

Do you have any ideas??

I'm still reading my letters now and I'm quite confused about my bridging visa

they said my bridging visa is not in effect because my visitor visa is still in effect.
this I could understand, but the next sentence is really really confused'

'If your Visitor visa is cancelled, your should contact the department immediately. Your bridging visa may not come to effect and will not allow you to remain lawfully in Australia'

What does it mean? it means if my Visitor visa get expired then I need to inform the depeartment, then my bridging visa is in effect?

Am I rite?
>_<

it means if your visitor visa is cancelled (not expired naturally), your BV A will be cancelled too. So, then you need to apply for BV E.

if your visitor visa expired naturally, your BV A will be activated automatically. There is no need to inform them about your visitor visa expired. You can check VEVO for your latest visa status.

Thanks a lot GBP... that explains every thing.

my Visitor visa will expire on April 2015. before that my Visitor visa is still in effect.

before that I thought it was after 3 month length of stay this time, then the BVA is gonna in effect.

I'm totally wrong.....T T.

what I should do now...
I should get out of boarder every 3 months?
will the custom still let me in as I'm applying for 820?

from what I understand, if you don't leave Aus at the end of the current 3 months stay, then you BV A will comes into effect.

You're rite! GBP.
I check my VEVO. my VISA expired day is 4 Nov. 2014
Lucky...
Even my Visitor visa can be valid for 12 months with multiple entry.
but after 3 month stay, it expire naturally.
Thank a lot~

=================================

I got a request of health check, the person who request this document is the case officer?
some said it's not that soon to get a case officer as I lodged mine less than a week.
Even there is a name and position number in the email.
There is not any other private email addess of this person that I could contact with.
So I hv no idea...
