485 after July

Hello,

I would like to apply for graduate visa 485 when the new points system kicks in.
At the moment I am unable to do so, because my profession (civil engineering associate or civil engineering draftsman) is not in 50 or 60 point list. I will have finished advanced diploma of civil and structural engineering in TAFE by July.

Now my question is, if I can apply for graduate visa 485 with the new system in July, when there will be no 40,50,60 point system anymore?

I have arranged myself a civil engineering associate job already, but my current student visa is valid only till 1st of September, meaning that my time is runnig out.

The job and education is from WA, and that is the state where I would like to stay too.

If you hold a student visa on 8th Feb 2010, it wouldn't be an issue to apply for 485.
