Advice on who can certify documents in new zealand

My partner and I are in the very final stages of our offshore partner visa. We are currently living in New Zealand and need to know who can certify documents for our visa here? Cannot find this information anywhere! We have all of our documents certified by police officers as they can do this in Australia but need to make sure if they can do it in New Zealand.. Before getting everything certified we called Aus immigration to double check this and they said a police officer in New Zealand could do it, but now we're not sure.. We live in a small town so its hard to find people to do this.. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I agree, police officers would be number 1 on the list for people who could certify. And if you live in a small town there must be police officers at least.

Your documents should be certified by a Justice of the Peace.
