Contacting the department of immigration.

when should I contact the immigration department or case officer?

I was asked to get my medicals done and to send in some documents . I got my medicals done last monday offshore and sent the document also on the same day .the doctor said he will send the medical reports to the department .

I didn't hear anything from them until now ,

They don't contact the applicant much at all. If they want something they will. I wouldn't bother them too much as it takes away their time from processing applications

Patience is a virtue.. from personal experience if you bug immigrations your file will go further and further down in the pile. I would give it at least 3 weeks from when you sent your medicals before your send an emailing "confirming your medical was received".
