So I'm not sure how much trouble I have gotten myself into...

I'm currently in Australia on a Subclass 300 (PMV). It expires on August 19th. I was ready to prepare everything when I found my FBI check; it's expired by 15 days!!
Now I was told I need to prepare a new FBI check (I called to check). I'm afraid I won't have that back in time to submit to immigration.
I still have to have my fingerprints taken and every police office is either booked or cannot do prints for FBI checks (I still have to check with the federal police tomorrow about an appointment).
What makes it more difficult is my honeymoon is July 30th-August 14th in Thailand.

Does anyone know if I would be given a bridging visa without the FBI check? I know processing time of Temporary visa (820/801) can take a few months.
I'm starting to worry big time...

Plus I might become employed soon and I don't want to cause confusion for my employer.

Thanks for the help!

You need to contact your CO immediately. Do it now.

I just called immigration department about the issue. I don't have a CO yet for my temporary visa since I haven't handed it in (will next week after getting all my documents certified).

She told me to write a letter stating my police check was being processed and I will mail it in once I recieve it. She said I will be put on a bridging visa once my current visa ceases until a decision is made.

Granted I'm still getting the run around with the Victorian police for fingerprinting. That part is fustrating!

Thanks for your help.
