Subclass 476

Hello ,

I have few queries regarding the subclass 476 visa requirements.
  1. Can TOEFL Score be used to prove English language ability ?
  2. Recognised overseas institution list includes Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur . Does it include other IIT's as well (ex IIT bombay)
  3. I graduated in Aug 2007. Am i still eligible to apply under 476. since it is more than two years.

Thanks in advance. Would appreciate your answers .

1. Under new rule changes TOEFL score may be used to prove English Ability.
2. you can get the list of institutes from the website.
3. You can apply only within 2 years no later than that. For your case you should have applied before Aug 2009 and unfortunately you are late by 2 years.

As per the Quote the list of degrees don't include a diploma. So I believe that makes you ineligible still. You can call the embassy.

Hi guys,
Actually I have already got 476 visa and have been staying in australia since feb 2011.

The question I have, do I need to get skill assessment result from engineers australia to apply 885 visa ?

Currently I am doing Professional Year in Engineering as 476 allows to do it. And also for 476 visa applications I can help who wants to apply.
Thanks in Advance

been thinking about that also...because under the new points test, there's the "recognised overseas" i wonder if you still have to go through assessment.

by the way, what's your degree? what do you think of my case? i phoned the diac in australia and they just said that i should pursue with the filing of my application since there's been no outright limit on the engineering degrees stated. or should i just lodge a 175? i may have to see for myself in the end.

is it easy to do a professional year while being employed? how's the employment situation there? how many months did you wait for approval since lodging? thanks.

hi guys,
im planning to apply for subclass 476.
but i have some clarifications to ask?
what is the meaning of DE FACTO RELATIONSHIP?
it is stated that is it a rel;ationshiop that last for at least 12 months before lodging
your application. does it mean that if our relationship is less than 12 months, my relationship status is SNEVER MARRIED? but the catch here is im having a baby soon but we're not getting married. is my status still "NEVER MARRIED"?

hope you could help me.. thanks in advance
