820 onshore application, 2 months passed and no CO??

Hi all, just wonder if our case is normal...

We lodged the 820 application at the end of August by mail. Until now we only received an email "The status of your Partner Visa application". We first thought it was to remind us to provide the Police Check because we have not got the Police Check when we send our application. But the email said:

"The department advises that all applicants should complete their health checks for permanent residency (820/801 visa) as soon as possible.

If you have not already done so, you will also need to provide police clearances. You will need to submit the original documents of police clearances from every country that you have been in for a total of 12 months or more in the last 10 years. This may also include Australia. "

It seems that this email is just a general one l but not specific to our case, because we have already done the health check before the submitting application. And we have send the Police Check to the DIBP.

There is no information about the CO at all. I am a bit worried about this situation.

I also want to ask about the BVA. When I check it in VEVO and I input the cliend ID as the TRN, it says the information is not correct. Does this happened to any one??

Thank you!

Hi Sedamoon,

Processing time for onshore partner visa are 12-15 months at the moment. You might never hear from your CO until visa is granted if they have all the information they need.

I wouldn't worry about having no contact until the 1 year mark..

For checking BVA I think you have to wait for your previous visa to be expired. Is it?

I know 2 months feels so long when it comes to waiting for visa, but it's still within the 820 processing timeframe, which is 12-15 months as Helene said.

Generally, no news is good news. The CO will contact you if they need any other document from you, otherwise, many people doesn't know their CO until they receive the visa grant letter.

For VEVO, you can use the "Visa Grant Number" for your BV A to check on the status of your BV A. Read the BV A grant letter again, you should be able to find it.

Thank you for all of you. Then I think what we could do is just waiting..=v=

For the BVA, actually, I did not get any information about it, either grant number or a letter or an email to say that I have been granted BVA...I called 131881 today and got the password of VEVO and finally I can check the visa..
