Smile Health Examinations 820/801

Hi guys...

I have got a question to my health examinations.
I submitted my application form for my partner visa on the 3 of november.
after that i have tried to find out when and where I have to do it.
I made an appointement at a place and then found out there where not able to do it ( but i did not know).
Today I went straight away to the right place and they said I only got 28 day to do after I submitted it, so I would be late now!
I now where to do it now and booked in an appointment bit I am very afraid to get in trouble because I havent done it in 28 day?!

Do I get in trouble?
Waht are the next steps I have to do?
I also sent a emali to the government straight after I submitted about the health examination and how long I git time to do it and also How long I got time to attach more file to my application and how?
Have not heard anything back!

Someone who has an advise?

thanks a lot
Conny

You would have to do your health examination at an Australian Panel Doctor. There is a list of Australian Panel Doctors on the Immigration Department Website. You can do on you own or wait until you receive a request to do so and an HAP registration number. Once you have done the health examination your medical result would be sent directly to DIBP. If that has happened you don't have to do anything.

Regards

I have already organized that so that I can probably do it at the 22/12 but I am worried about the 28 days!?
Is that true?

I believe, and seniors, correct me if I'm wrong, but you have 28 days from when your CO actually requests your medicals. You definately don't need to get your medicals within 28 days of application - in fact with processing times up to 12-15 months a lot of people would recommend against it because medicals only last 12 months, and you run the risk of them expiring before your visa is processed.
No need to worry about the 28 days at all I am sure.
Cheers
Andrea

I think the "28 day" is a default time limit of the immigration department.

Nothing to worry about in your case since you HAVE to wait till you can get the medicals done, there is nothing YOU can do to make that happen any quicker.

I had a similar situation with my PCC back in India. It had expired and the case officer requested for a new one. The process for a new PCC was about 50 days long (had to get my passport details updated-add my husband's name and new address) only after which I could apply for the new PCC and submit it to my case officer. There was no short cut to this process.

I called my case officer, told her what's going on and that I will have to apply for a re-issue of my passport which will definitely be taking longer than 28 days and that I need more time but not sure as to exactly how many extra days things will be taking.
So she told me that she will wait for my PCC and that I didn't have to worry about the 28 days limit to submit my PCC. I kept her updated throughout the process every time I heard something from the passport office I would forward her that information and I had no issues going over the 28 days rule to submit requested documents.

If you have a case officer just send him/her an email explaining the situation and I'm sure they'll understand. If you don't have a case officer just send immigration an email explaining whats going on and that you'll be needing a bit longer than 28 days to be able to undergo Medicals because of so and so reason.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

thanks guys for the answers...I feel much better now.
I do not have a case officer yet (btw how and when do i get one?)!

I will also send another mail to the government, even if they wont reply

I also still got files to attach to my application form but I reached my upload limit of 60 files (and I also cant attach them at my partners part of the application.

A lot of people said I should email them ( but other people also said it is not recommend to do that)?
If it is ok I do not really now to which email address?

If anyone has a good idea or had the same problem I might help

Are you sure you can't attach anymore documents? I've attached well over 60 documents and am able to attach more in the partner's section.
Note: This means in your Immi Account you have to open the Sponsorship applications NOT your application, and there you can upload more things.

And again, I would not recommend sending them documents via Email as I got an Email specifically stating that you should not to that and that it might delay the process of your visa application.

Hey Tassi_girl,

No worries, happy to help
There are many people who never get contacted by their case officer and just get their grant letter in their inbox. So for the onshore partner visas, I'm not too sure when you'll be getting a case officer. Maybe someone who has applied onshore can comment on this.

I don't think there is any issue in emailing the department regarding the medical situation i.e. you'll be needing 28 plus days to be able to undergo the tests. Say if the department was strictly following this time frame and your medicals have not been submitted within the 28 days, you might have problems and might also have to do a lot more explaining and emails to send then. BUT if you email them now, you might be saving yourself from a possible troublesome situation.
Better to be safe than sorry

That's just my opinion, decision is yours
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

After you have submitted and paid for your application your partner has to fill in a separate application, which is "Sponsorship for a Partner to Migrate to Australia".
I have attached a screenshot how this should look like in your Immi account - and in this section (you click on "action", then on "view") you should be able to upload more documents (worked for me anyways).
