hello there,

i was granted visa(student) when i was in australia, then i went overseas for a short vacation, now i'm overseas and had just gone through a surgery so that i had been issued a new ecOE.
now do i need to inform immi. department ?
and when can i enter australia ?

my course was supposed to start on 10th nov, 2014 but i didn't enrol coz of my injury, so they informed immigration and then i had 28 days to enroll in other course so just yesterday(16 dec,2014) i got my new ecOE, in which the semester starts from 16 march 2015. i'm still overseas and wondering when can i enter the country ?

If your student visa has not expired you can come in any time. However, if you want to stay offshore for a while you can come in at the end of January to early February. You can use VEVO at any time to check whether your visa is valid at any time.
