form 80 - questions help.

kinda stuck on some questions on the form 80.

at question 35 that's asking Am i currently in Australia? so i have tick the box yes, in the section of "Place of Visa issue" am i suppose to put Thailand or Melbourne? and for question 36 have you been to Australia, I have tick "no" because i have been here since the first visa and now on my second student visa.

Reason because when i first arrive to Australia on my student visa, it was granted and submit from Thailand however i re-continue my second student visa onshore further study which was done through an agent in Melbourne. I am looking at the immigration grant letter i have, it state on the bottom people our business, Western Australia onshore Student Visa Center

so which one would i be filling them in the space of place of visa issue? its pretty straight forward at the same time kinda confusing lol...

thanks in advance

If your current visa was issued in WA, then I'd put WA

If you are in Australia, then question 36 (Have you been to Australia) should be yes. They want to know if you've ever been here before and you have.

Thank you!
If that's the cases if we tick yes for question 36, what would we put down for the departure date? If my partner never left the country since she got granted here for study ? That's why because it's asking have you been to Australia before if so
Question 36 have you been to Australia?

Type of visa : obviously student visa
Reason of journey : studying
Named of entry used: would be my partner name
Place of visa issue: WA
Arrival date: same as question 35
Departure date: what to do fill in this one? Coz my partner never left the country since she came here on her first student visa.

Note: only time she left was during our vacation back to Thailand to visit family and friends.

I just looked at my form 80 and they've changed some of the questions since I completed it - mine simply asked if I was in Australia and by answering Yes I got to skip ahead to the next section. They want you to answer question 36 even if question 35 is yes? If they do, I'd leave Departure date blank if you can.

Yeah that's what I was saying we feel stupid already posting question such simple. Coz we use the form 80 guide here as well on the tab on the right hand side and half of the question is not even the same and we realize the form is updated 2014. That's why the confusion of question 35 and 36 we had. Coz it's like asking in 35 are you currently in Australia. So if yes. You fill those in. Then 36 asked have you been to Australia before so it's like whatttt lol

Anyways as long as we can leave things like that blank, would be good. Just don't want to be in trouble for it. thank you Maggie. we shall keep this thread updated if we ran into more strange question.
