spouse & dependant child (under 18) visa application timeline at jakarta (indonesia)

Hi, is anyone have a clue how long normally for processing spouse & dependant child visa at jakarta embassy (indonesia)?

Last monday, I submitted a completed application minus medical check up because I have been informed by IDP australia medan (education center) that i don't have to do it before they ask it.

Idp australia medan said they will send my completed application to australia embassy on tuesday (12/07/2011). But until today I haven't received any email or phone call if they received my application.

Does anyone in forum knows normally how long it takes to process spouse and dependant child application in jakarta embassy?

I'm so worry

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,
Sonny Tanoto

Hi and welcome. Partner visas processed offshore generally share the same processing times, regardless of whether there is a dependent child included. Only certain circumstances might speed up or slow down the decision of a visa, generally the processing time for this visa is:

Partner (temporary)
(subclass 309, 820)
Low risk country - 5 months
High risk country - 12 months
[I think Indonesia is a high risk country, but I could be wrong]

The processing times for this visa can be found here:
