Hi there,

You have to show evidence of name changes in your application, since your new name and the name on your birth certificate for example will also be different. So, get a certified copy of the documents you recieved in regard to your name change. You may also have to get them translated if they aren't in English.

DIAC are smart, so they will realise that your education and work experience docs. are you, but your old name.

HI there

I know this post is 2 years old but got a question for you. How did you change your name and what are the steps required to do so in Sri Lanka. I have 8 names and non can be fitted to a single application so I would like to reduce it to first middle and last.

Thanks in Advance

Dee

Dee, I know you acknowledged that this is an old thread, but if you look at the original poster's profile, you can see that they haven't even been online on the forums here since July 2011. Chances of a reply are probably pretty small, just FYI. Hopefully someone else will happen along who has an answer for you.
