457 in Regional Area ?

i have finished diploma of business , applying for a retail manager in a night owl franchise in regional area.The owner have two night owl stores, one is in city , the other is in regional area. Is that possible that i apply for 457 working visa or does it have to be 187? Thx so much.

It would have to be a 187. Retail Manager is not on the CSOL and therefore is not eligible for a 457. It is skill level 2 and so is eligible for a 187.

However, the issue may be that you are a shift manager only, and will not be deemed a retail manager. To be accepted by the Department as a Retail Manager you would need to show that you are managing the whole business. It would ge a good idea to seek some additional professional advice before you go any further.
